Hear it, see it, name it
Hearmony is an ear trainer and sight-reading coach for iPhone. Every sound you hear lights its step on a ladder, and you answer in the note names you learned: letters, do re mi, or German H and B.
For iPhone. Free to download, with an optional Pro upgrade.
How one question works
A question takes a few seconds. The ladder is the same for intervals, chords, scales and reading, so what you learn in one drill carries into the next.
Listen
An interval, a chord or a short melody plays, and its steps light up on the ladder exactly when you hear them.
Answer
Tap the step you heard or play it on the keyboard. In note reading, you name the note on the staff by its step.
Compare
A wrong answer replays your choice and the right one as two climbers, with the gap between them marked.
Duel
Six quick questions on exactly the pair you mixed up. The pair comes back on a schedule until you can tell it apart.

Note names the way you learned them
One setting switches the whole app between eleven naming systems. The ladder, the answer keys and the feedback all follow.

Your practice stays on your iPhone
There is no account and no ads. Your answers, levels and mixed-up pairs are stored on the phone, and you can export them to a backup file. Purchases go through Apple. When the app starts it asks the update service for a newer version of its code; that request carries a random installation ID.
