Hearmony

Terms of use

Last updated: 9 October 2026

These terms apply to the Hearmony app for iPhone and to this website, both made by Peak Apps Studio. By downloading or using Hearmony you accept them together with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement; where the two differ, these terms add to Apple's agreement.

What Hearmony is

Hearmony is a practice tool for ear training and note reading. Its drills, results and tests help you practise; they are not a formal assessment, a hearing test or a substitute for a teacher.

Hearmony Pro

Some features are part of Hearmony Pro, available as a yearly subscription, a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, at the prices shown in the app for your country.

Content and licences

Hearmony's code, design, texts and illustrations belong to Peak Apps Studio. The instrument sounds are recordings released into the public domain (CC0) by Versilian Studios (VCSL and VSCO 2 Community Edition) and the FreePats project; music glyphs come from the Bravura font (SIL Open Font License); the song anchors are our own transcriptions of tunes published before 1900. The full list of licences is under Settings, Licences in the app.

Fair use

Please do not copy, resell or redistribute the app or its content, try to get around the purchase system, or use the app in a way that breaks the law.

No warranty

We work to keep Hearmony accurate and reliable, but the app and this site are provided as they are, without warranties beyond those required by law. To the extent the law allows, Peak Apps Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from their use. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

Changes

We may update these terms; the current version and its date are always on this page.
